Shaftel Law is Seeking an Immigration Paralegal

THE POSITION: We are seeking a new paralegal to handle a diverse range of cases. Spanish speaking fluency and writing proficiency is required. The position will have many traditional paralegal job duties, including:

  • Gathering information and evidence from clients to assemble immigration applications;
  • Meeting with clients to draft declarations in support of their applications;
  • Assembling and filing immigration applications;
  • Researching country conditions for immigration waivers and asylum applications;
  • Supporting the attorneys in a variety of other legal tasks.

The position may also have some office management responsibilities and some marketing responsibilities. We are open to considering individuals who prefer less than full-time, but at least 20 hours a week is required.

SALARY RANGE: $18-$24 (DOE)

BENEFITS: Health Care Plan and paid time off up to 10 days a year (if full-time) and 4 paid holidays.

LOCATION: Colorado Springs, CO. We will likely have another paralegal position open for our Lakewood, CO office in the near future. Applicants interested in this position can apply now as well and we will keep you in mind as soon as the position becomes available.

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English Required
  • A genuine interest in immigration law and a desire to help our diverse clientele.
  • A desire to be part of a growing firm, and to constantly improve our firm and the services we offer to our clientele.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are a must.
  • Experience highly preferred, but exceptional candidates without experience will be considered.
  • Professionalism, good writing skills and ability to interact well with clients, electronically, on the telephone, and in-person.
