NEW USCIS FEES FOR COMMON APPLICATIONS

As of April 1, 2024, fees for certain USCIS forms have increased. These are the most common forms that we file and their updated prices:

  • I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative) paper filing $675 and online filing $625
  • I-131 (Application for Travel Document) $675
  • I-485 (Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status) $1,440
  • I-601A (Provisional Unlawful Presence Waiver) $795
  • I-751 (Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence) $750
  • I-765 (Application for Employment Authorization) paper $520 & online $470
  • N-400 (Application for Naturalization) paper $760 & online $710.

  • One Step Application (for marriage cases or children sponsoring their parents)
    • $675 paper or $625 online filing for I-130
    • $1440 for I-485
    • $260 for I-765
    • $630 for I-131

Total: $3005 with all paper filing (This represents the largest fee increase)

$2330 if skip ADVANCE PAROLE (One way to reduce the increase in fees)

While the Adjustment of Status process has gone up substantially in price, there are a few ways to work around the fees. For example, many may not want or need to file for advance parole, so that is $675 that would not need to be paid.

USCIS provides a small incentive for online filings by slightly reducing the filing fee; however, the USCIS online filing system is not yet very user friendly. As a result, filing online can add quite a bit of time (and frustration) to the process that may negate the savings.

With the paper filing, a USCIS account can still be created to track the status and updates of the case. We will continue to evaluate if and when the online filing system improves enough to be preferred over the traditional paper filing.

Here is a link to the new USCIS fee schedule (their document that contains all their new fees).
